The woman in the story is no different from the welfare queens who produce baby after baby by different men, who abuse and abandon the children. The children grow up in dire circumstances but she doesn’t care, because the welfare checks keep coming in. Only the most limited intellects can fail to see the moral truths presented in this story, and its application to our modern society.
