Speaker offers ‘private consultations’ about sex on his website
Liberal Hampshire College announced that it wants students from New College in Florida to transfer if they are upset with Governor Ron DeSantis’ actions to reform the public university.
But that effort will probably fail if the school’s ability to convince students to show up to a virtual event about sex are any indication of the school’s marketing skills.
The private Massachusetts college held an event last week with Evan (or “Eva”) Sweeney, a “pleasure professional,” according to Sweeney’s LinkedIn.
But only four people showed up — two administrators, Sweeney, and a reporter with Young America’s Foundation.
The speaker is a “genderqueer woman” and has cerebral palsy, according to a 2020 interview with the activist. A Teen Vogue article from 2022 called the presenter “Evan” and used male pronouns.
“Despite the lack of Hampshire College students in attendance, a 10-minute abridged version of the presentation (which was originally scheduled to last over an hour) still took place,” YAF’s New Guard reported.
The presenter also gave a nonsense answer when asked to define what a woman is.
“A woman is something that a person can define for themselves if they choose to be it,” Sweeney said.
The event was “sponsored by the Queer Community Alliance Center, the Division of Student Affairs, and the Division of Justice, Equity, and Antiracism,” according to YAF.
Sweeney has “been teaching sex ed for almost 15 years,” according to Teen Vogue.
“He founded a popular online disability sex education website, Cripping Up Sex With Eva,” Teen Vogue reported. “His book Queers on Wheels is a go-to handbook that teaches disabled readers about safe sex and wheelchair-friendly sex positions.”
His website also sells sex toys and offers “private consultations.”
As YAF noted well on its website, it’s “very refreshing to see that no students were interested in hearing the nonsense that Sweeney had to share.”
